This product is primarily solar‑powered and can also run on indoor light. Under normal lighting conditions, it works continuously without needing a battery replacement.
E0587TH FAQ
How do I replace the battery?
Why does it sometimes stop working in low light?
Check whether the insulating sheet has been removed.
-
If NOT removed: The device runs only on solar/light power and requires sufficient brightness (light > 50 lux). It works well in sunlight or bright rooms, but may stop in dim places (e.g., a dark room at night).
-
Recommendation: For low‑light environments, pull out the insulating sheet to enable the backup battery and ensure dual‑power operation.
Why does the display keep turning on and off?
This is also related to the insulating sheet.
When the sheet is not removed and the ambient light is at the device's wake‑up threshold, the product may repeatedly wake up and power off. Increase the light brightness or place it in direct light to stabilize the power supply.
Why does the display show "HH.H" or "LL.L"?
The product's temperature measurement range is 14.2°F ~ 122°F (–9.9°C ~ 50°C).
-
HH.H → Temperature is above the maximum range.
-
LL.L → Temperature is below the minimum range.
Place the device in an environment within the supported temperature range for normal readings.
Does the solar panel need to face direct sunlight?
No. The solar panel works with both sunlight and indoor light. It does not require direct sun exposure – a well‑lit indoor spot (e.g., near a window) is sufficient.
Why does the temperature/humidity reading differ from other devices?
Our device features a three‑sided ventilation design, making it more sensitive to ambient changes and faster to respond to environmental shifts.
For a reliable comparison, please allow the device to sit for about 1 hour in the same environment before comparing readings.
