If your rain sensor fails to connect, you need to pair it with a compatible gateway (HWG023/HWG040) or irrigation controller (HIC801W/HIC1200LT).

Quickly press the rain trigger lever 5 times in succession. This will reset the pairing information and put the device into pairing mode, indicated by a rapidly flashing red light on the sensor.

• Low Battery Warning: When the battery power is low, the red LED will flash once every 10 seconds. In the mobile app, a black battery icon with 1 bar will be displayed.
• Critical Battery Warning: When the battery is critically low or depleted, the red LED will continue to flash once every 10 seconds. In the mobile app, you will see a red, empty battery icon along with a low battery alarm notification.

After successfully pairing the device, press and hold the trigger lever. Then, check the rain sensor interface in the mobile app to see if rain is being detected.

The rain sensor can be integrated with your irrigation system in two main ways:

• When connected to a Gateway: After pairing with the gateway, you can set up a smart scene. When the rain sensor detects rain, it can automatically trigger connected timer valves to close or delay scheduled watering plans.

• When connected to an Irrigation Controller (e.g., HIC801W): When the rain sensor detects rain, it will delay the active watering schedule.
  

Note: In the controller's settings within the app, you can enable or disable the wireless rain sensor function.

You can manually set the rainfall trigger threshold by following these steps:

• Rotate the cover on the rain sensor until it clicks into the position corresponding to your desired rainfall setting.
• Adjustable Rainfall Range: 3 mm, 6 mm, 13 mm, 19 mm (1/8 inch, 1/4 inch, 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch).
  This ensures that the rain sensor will only be triggered when the collected rainfall reaches the preset amount.

You can adjust the evaporation rate by rotating the ventilation ring on the sensor to change the size of the vent. This will shorten or extend the reset time of the absorbent pad.

Recommendations:

If the sensor is installed in a windy or sunny location, it is recommended to set a smaller vent opening.

For soil types that dry out more quickly, it is recommended to set a larger vent opening.

Note: The time required for the sensor's absorbent pad to reset from wet to dry is influenced by factors such as the initial wetness level, post-rainfall weather conditions, and vent size. This process typically takes approximately 5 hours to 3 days.

The freeze warning is triggered when the temperature drops below 4°C (with a tolerance of ±1°C, meaning the acceptable range is 3-5°C). When triggered, a red freeze warning icon will be displayed in the app. (Note: No image is currently available; it will be provided in a future update.)
