The thread is broken. I cannot install it on anymore.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We consulted this with our technicians to inspect the relevant batches of products.
We found that it may be caused by the following reasons:

The plastic quality of the product is not good, it will become brittle after long-term storage, and it is easy to break under the action of external force.
The design of the connection between the timer inlet and the faucet is unreasonable and cannot withstand a lot of pressure.
And we make three steps to improve our item to solve this issue.

A. We have reinforced the water inlet pipe and added multiple diamond-shaped cylinders on the inside of the pipe to consolidate the connection.
B. For next year version, we will exchange plastics to ABS plastics,
C. We developed metal thread for some versions.

If you have any good idea about how should we do to solve this issue, please spread your words and we will highly appreciate it.To fast solve your issue, please contact our service team to make a replacement for your item.

I cannot connect my timer with my app. Would you please help?

Before the connection steps, please allow me to explain how the set works. First of all, hub connects with APP via wifi. Then timer connects with hub via RF signal. So if your hub can connect with app, but the timer is unable to connect with hub, it means your wifi is totally good.

For timer and hub connection, please make sure the distance is no late than 30 meters. The distance should be shorten if there are walls, trees or other things between them. Moreover, if your timer is installed low, the soil will absorb part of the signal too. Hence, we suggest you put the timer indoor near the hub before you install it on.

Then you can open the rainpoint APP. click the + on the top of right --click Smart Irrigation on the left -- click the WIFI WATER TIMER -- click to choose irrigation hub at the bottom -- long press the (left) button on the timer around 5 seconds (make sure it is fast flicker) -- search for the device and connect the timer successfully.

Sorry for the inconvenience it caused to you. To better analyse your issue, we would like to d some trouble shootings with you first.

1. Please check if your batteries inside the timer are in good condition. If batteries are exhausted, the connection will be lost.

2.Please try to put the timer closer to the timer and check if the issue still exist. If you put it closer to the timer and the connection gets better. It is the distance issue.
3.Please check if the battery unit is rusty. If the battery unit is rusty, the power supply might not stable and it will cause connection issue.

4.Please let know how many timers in total you connect with one hub. Kindly note one hub can only connect with 4 timers. If your wifi signal is not strong, you need to reduce the timer amount.

5.Please check if the timer works as programmed even it is offline. Normally, the timer will work as programmed even it is offline.

If the timer is in good condition, it will connect to the hub auto if the wifi is cut off and restore. Please check and let know the situation of the timer. Can I set a plan according to the soil moisture?

Currently, you can set the timer to turn on the valve to irrigate by soil moisture. But it is unable to turn of the valve by moisture. The watering time is depends on the manual watering you set on irrigation control page. The reason why we set it like this is considering the safety issue. f the internet loss connect during the watering, the close-valve task will not be triggered. As a result, you might loss a lot because of water waste. And water wasting is not environmental friendly. It is much safer to set the program watering according to manual watering time.

Water pressure issue

Your timer lower my water pressure. I have no enough water for my full lawn.

Kindly note it is a common issue that the time lower down a certain part of water pressure for the whole industry. Currently, our timer will reduce around 18% We are now doing tests about how to change the mold and is it possible to do better for the new mold.

To make the timer work as good as they could, we suggest:
1. Do not use hose splitter.
2.Do not make the hose too long.
3.Please make sure the water flow is between 0.5-8 BARWe would highly appreciate if you can share your idea about how the make the water flow owrs better.

Why my water flow gets smaller and smaller?

To better analyse your issue, would you please check if the filter and hose first? If the filter is stuck by particles, the water flow will be small. And we sincerely hope you can do a test to find out whether it is the timer issue or the hose issue.

Please do it as below
1. The water flow of the water tap without any timer.
2.The water flow with our timer installed on the water tap without any hose.

Flow meter issue

When the timer runs as programmed, the app will pop up “flow meter error”, how can I solve it?

Please confirm if your plan is set to “Irrigation by quantity”, and your water faucet is on, see if it pops up “flow meter error”. If yes, then the built-in water meter is broken, we will offer you a replacement timer. If the plan is set to “Irrigation by quantity”, and the faucet is turned off, the water meter will detect that there is no water flow, and the app will pop up “flow meter error” and the valve will run for about 4-5 minutes and turn off the valve automatically.

Winter Storage

How do I winterize the WiFi timer and for long-term storage?

Wi-Fi timers should be stored inside, in a warm dry place, during winter months, when temperatures are consistently near/below freezing. 1. Turn off water spigot.2. Disconnect hose(s) from timer outlet(s) and disconnect timer from spigot.3. Manually activate the timer to open valve(s) to drain residual water from inside the timer. Gently blow into top inlet to clear additional remaining water, until no more water drains out.4. Manually activate the timer to close the valve(s).5. Remove the batteries and recycle or discard them. (For next watering season, fresh batteries must be used.)6. Loosely cover the inlet opening with a plastic plug, and outlet opening(s) with plastic cap(s) (available at hardware and garden stores), and/or place timer in a sealable plastic bag, to prevent bugs and other debris from entering the timer during storage.
