We are so sorry for the inconvenience. Would you please check as below trouble shooting first?
1. Please make sure the screen is not under strong sunshine. If the water meter is under strong sunshine, it happens that we cannot check the numbers very clearly. But it will be good if you check it under shadow.
2. Please try to exchange the coin batteries and check if it works great. If the batteries are running out of power, the screen will show numbers lack of parts.
3.Please let know if the water keeps running or not. The timer will enter rest mode if there is no water come through it for more than 33 seconds.
